This site, as I guess most other sites of the same nature, will always be a “work-in-progress”.  I say this with all candor as new developments, interesting stories, debating points, tons of photos to sort, numerous speeches to choose from, a whole folder of press releases, are there to begin with. Capturing the very essence behind all these into this medium is indeed very difficult.  So let me say it outright and just tell you what I hope this site  hopes to achieve:

One, touch base with our people, especially the youth, and share with them the Tañada brand of politics founded on the ideals of nationalism, good governance, a deep sense of respect for human rights and participative and dynamic democracy.

Second, engage the public in interesting discussions of what is happening in our country, particularly in Congress.

Third, give our people a flavor of what the 4th District of Quezon is, the district that I represent in Congress.

Finally, this might be a bit tough, provide new seeds for a movement that demand honest and clean governance –TAPAT.  This movement , started by my father and his supporters – former Senator Wigberto “Bobby” Tañada is actually national in character – Tañada para sa Tao – is a movement that I wish to revitalize.

The 21st century seems to be moving fast with people from all over the world demanding CHANGE, real and meaningful change.  May this site be our humble contribution in visualizing and actualizing exactly the kind of change we want for our own little barangays, to our towns, for our country, but most importantly, for our children and ourselves.

Please, this is not my website, this is OUR website.

God bless our country!

Erin
